Animation is a large piece of Earth AI’s website strategy. Even with an informative website, Earth AI found themselves constantly explaining what they did, and why their algorithm is such a breakthrough for the mineral discovery space.
On the website, the animation is progressed only when the user scrolled down the page. Live text cards were coded to appear over the top of the animation once certain frames in the animation were reached.
This animation strategy then expanded into talking decks later in the year.
Process
Before jumping into animation, roughly sketched artboards for each keyframe were presented to and approved by the client. Accompanying text, animations, and transition ideas were annotated.
Talking Decks
Portions of the full homepage animation were repurposed for a new context: A series of investor talks all over the world. These existing portions and other new animations played from a PowerPoint deck.
