Animation was a large piece of Earth AI’s website strategy. Even with an informative website, Earth AI found themselves constantly explaining what they did and why their technology is such a game-changer in the mineral discovery space.
The animation was a self-directed interactive experience, progressed by the user scrolling down the page. Text cards were coded to appear over the top of the animation once certain frames were reached.
This strategy then expanded into a talking deck later in the year.
Process
Before jumping into animation, roughly sketched artboards for each keyframe were presented to and approved by the client. Accompanying text, animations, and transition ideas were annotated.
Talking Deck
Pieces of the full homepage animation were repurposed for a new context: A series of investor talks all over the world. These and other new animations played from a PowerPoint deck while the client was speaking, with no accompanying text.
