Hello there!

I’m Damaris Alfonso, an Austin-based graphic designer.

First of all, thanks for checking out my work! Recently I have been working with early-stage science and tech companies on their brands, websites, and infographics. In previous lives I’ve worked with national non-profits and local Austin businesses. I am currently freelancing full time.

As a multidisciplinary designer I’m willing to take on any design challenge. I also dabble in copywriting whenever someone gives me an inch; “lorem ipsum” often isn't enough. After Effects animation is my in-progress conquest, and Figma has quickly become my second-favorite program. None will ever unseat Illustrator.

As for my non-working life, I'm very much a people-person. I serve on the board of directors at Austin Creative Reuse and regularly volunteer for them. I occasionally write about dabbling in reuse-based crafting and my design process. I’m a big fan of karaoke, and I’m a huge podcast junkie. Send me recommendations! My shelves are full of vinyl figures, old packaging and other trinkets, Field Notes, and books (both design reference and fiction).

Like Antiquing?

My parents instilled in me a love for all things old or rusty, so I’m regularly out at second-hand shops or flea markets looking for cool stuff. I capture some of the interesting and inspiring since I can’t take it all home.
