Avalo is pushing agricultural innovation forward. Using AI they advance natural crop evolution by identifying key genes of interest. They are harnessing evolution to create climate change-resistant crops, helping guarantee humanity’s future food supply.

Brand Identity
The client wanted a unique palette for the agricultural space, while still using colors that made sense in context. Additionally, the client was excited about using a collage illustration style, and using a serif font.

Inspired by the fabulous web copy written by Shannia Coley, I created many context-dependent collage illustrations (both used on the website and in pitch decks). I took a restrained approach to the rest of the web design, relying heavily on P22 Type Foundry’s beautiful Mackinac Pro for the brand’s headline font.
Illustration
To create the brand’s collage spot illustrations and iconography, I sourced public domain illustrations, botanical drawings, and photography. I then married these color-edited pieces with simple vector lineart that echos the line version of the logomark.
